The desk marks problems; it does not fix them for you.

What it's for

Timing is yours. Race Bureau records what the device sends and flags what looks wrong; it never rewrites a time, a bib or an order on its own.

The rules

  • No automatic re-assigning of an impulse to another bib.
  • No automatic crossing out or re-ordering of competitors.
  • No caps or invented lists: the start list is the one you drew.
  • A doubled bib is flagged with ! and left for you. A duplicate is better than a missed impulse.
  • A box-stamped impulse is never re-routed automatically.
  • A hand time comes in through Modify data and its calculator only (see Modify data and hand time). It is marked *HT.
  • A time is never rounded: run times are truncated to 1/100 s (see Units).
  • Time zones never affect timing: an impulse is filed by which race and run was green when it arrived.
  • The lock is per race and per run, never per event. Red means the impulse is not stored at all; green keeps collecting when you leave the desk.
