Your first event

A guided tutorial from creating the event to archiving it, step by step.

Work through these ten chapters in order. Together they run one two-day club event from the first click to the archive: the event and its races, the crew, the entries, the draw and bibs, race morning, the Timing Desk, the results and the FIS files, what the phones showed, and the seal at the end.

Each chapter is one step of the rail with the exact buttons to press, a short clip at the top and a screenshot beside the key steps. Read it once from start to finish, then use the reference sections (Set up, Entries, Timing Desk, Results…) when you need one screen in depth.

  1. 1 · Create the eventCreate the event — the unit that holds the race days and their races — and open the seven steps.

  4. 4 · EntriesGet the field in: by email, from the FIS list or through your public entry link; then publish it to the coaches.
  5. 5 · Bibs & start listsDraw the start order, hand out the bibs, print the Run 1 start list and release it.
  6. 6 · Race dayThe morning of the race: the pre-race checklist, switching the event on in Race Relay, and the live surfaces.
  7. 7 · Timing DeskConnect the device, open the race, take the impulses, handle a DNF and a missed time, and build Run 2.
  8. 8 · Results & publishPrint and release the results, fill the timing report and the penalty, build the FIS files, and mark the race done.
  9. 9 · Race Relay on the phoneWhat a coach or a parent saw during the event: joining the group, the chat, the Live tab, Docs and the Program.
  10. 10 · ArchiveSeal the finished event, know what closes with it, and find it again under Archived events.
