1 · Create the event
Create the event — the unit that holds the race days and their races — and open the seven steps.
What it's for
Race Bureau runs events; the races sit inside, on the event's race days. Creating the event opens the seven steps down the left: Set up, Crew, Entries, Bibs & start lists, Race day, Timing Desk, Results & publish. This tutorial walks one two-day event from this screen to the archive.
Before you start
- A Race Bureau account and a club (see What Race Bureau is).
- The event's name, the days it runs on and the venue.
Steps
- Sign in. Until an event is open the screen shows only the top card, No event open · My events.
- Press My events. The events window opens with your event lists down its left side.
My events: your lists on the left, + Create event at the top - Press + Create event.
- If you belong to more than one club, pick the club under Create this event under. Your own clubs show as "— my Race Office".
Pick the club, then Create event - Press Create event. The foot of the window says what happens: "A blank Non-FIS event is made and opens on Set up › Event info."
What success looks like
The new event is open. The top card reads your club's name and New event, the left rail shows the seven numbered steps with 1 Set up lit, and the Event Info form is in front of you with one race already on Day 1 (today's date, Slalom). The next chapter fills it in.
If something goes wrong
- You cannot see + Create event: your account may not have the organising area switched on. Ask your club's account admin (see Access levels).
- The event opened on the wrong club: press My events again, open the event's ⋯ menu and choose Delete…, then create it again under the right club.
