What it's for
Archiving seals the event read-only and moves it to Archived. It closes the event's Race Relay group and ends the timer's and TD's invitations, while the results and documents stay readable. A TD can still open an archived event.
Before you start
- Every race of the event finished with official results, the penalty calculated and the TD report in (chapter 8).
Steps
- Open Results & publish › Archive an event (under Close). The Archive & seal window shows the event card and a Final checklist of four items: all race days completed (set automatically), results OFFICIAL for every race, penalty calculated and jury minutes filed, TD report submitted. Each open item has Open in checklist ▸.
Every item must be green first — there is no override - Clear each open item, then press Archive & seal. The button stays grey while anything is open, and the foot says "This event hasn't finished yet".
- To archive by itself instead, open Set up › Event access & chat and pick Automatic, with the number of days after the last day, then Save for this event. Manual keeps the button; Follow the club uses the club default set on the same page.
- Open Archived events (under Close, or My events › Archived). Archived events are "Sealed, read-only dossiers"; press Open dossier to read one and its documents.
Sealed, read-only; Open dossier to read it
What closes
- The event's Race Relay group closes and everyone leaves it — they stay on your club list, so joining your next event is one tap.
- The timer's and TD's invitations to this event end.
- The chat's record and every released document are kept.
What success looks like
The event is gone from All events and listed under Archived with the sealed date; opening it shows the dossier read-only.
If something goes wrong
- Archive & seal stays grey: an item in the final checklist is still open — follow its Open in checklist ▸ link.
