Set up
Step 1 of the seven: the event's facts, its printed look, its programme, and the officials you invite.
What it's for
Set up is the first step on the rail. Everything here is filled in once per event and read everywhere else: the event name and races in Event info, the lines printed on every document in General parameters, the jury and course in Header info, fonts, margins and logos in Printing parameters, the day's times in Run sheet and the public notice in Race notice.
The Officials box at the foot of the side menu is where you bring in the Technical Delegate and the timer, and Event access & chat says what each of them may see.
Before you start
- An event open. Pressing 1 Set up opens the step on Event info.
- Pick the race you are working on under ACTIVE RACE › Change. Most screens on this step save per race.
Steps
- Press 1 Set up on the rail.
- Work down the side menu in order: Event info, General parameters, Header info, Printing parameters, Run sheet, Race notice.
- Under OFFICIALS, press Invite on the Technical Delegate card and on the Timer card.
- Open Event access & chat to check which races each invited person sees.
What success looks like
The rail header shows the event name and the race picker lists every race; the Officials cards show ✓ and a first name; a printed start list carries the right title, jury, logos and times.
If something goes wrong
- A screen shows the wrong race: change it under ACTIVE RACE › Change. The breadcrumb under each screen title names the race the screen is saving for.
- The side menu shows Coming soon: Online entries · Payments at its foot. Entry links live under Settings › Entry links and payments under Settings › Club payments.
