Race notice
The one-page notice you send out before the race: programme, entries, fees, meeting, lift passes, contacts and QR codes.
What it's for
The Race notice is the page clubs and coaches get before the race: what, when, where, how to enter, what it costs, when the team captains meet, and the QR codes that take a phone straight to live timing, the race chat, the coaches' sign-up, the entry form or the results. The title and sub-line are filled from the event; the preview on the right is the printed page.
It is saved per race. ⧉ Copy to other races pushes it across the event.
Before you start
- The race picked under ACTIVE RACE.
- Logos uploaded in Printing parameters if you want them on the notice.
Steps
- Open Set up › Race notice.
Fields on the left, the printed page on the right - Check TITLE and SUB-LINE; both are filled from the event and can be overwritten.
- Fill in PROGRAMME, ENTRIES TO, ENTRY FEE, TEAM CAPTAINS' MEETING, LIFT PASSES, PRIZEGIVING, PHOTOGRAPHY, CONTACTS and START LISTS & RESULTS. An empty field is left off the page.
- Under QR CODES ON THE NOTICE, keep or untick the three the event provides (Live timing, Race chat, Coaches) and edit each caption. Pick + Add QR code… › Results, Start lists, Volunteer sign-up, Entry form or Own link (URL) for more — up to four show.
- Press + Add logo… on the preview to place a logo from Printing parameters.
- Press Save.
- Press ↓ Save as PDF to get the page to send out.
What success looks like
The preview shows the title, the sub-line with date, venue, discipline, gender and codex, your text blocks and the QR codes with their captions; the PDF is the same page.
If something goes wrong
- No logos yet — upload them in Printing parameters: the notice reads the logos from Printing parameters. Upload there first.
- A QR code points to the wrong place: the three event codes are built from the event's own links; remove one with × and add it again.
