Entry links
The public addresses where people enter the club's races without signing in, the embed snippet, and which FIS races the club form may take.
What it's for
Nobody signs in to enter. They open one of these links, fill the form, confirm by email, and the athletes land on your races. There are three links: the Entry address (every open race, FIS and club), the FIS entry form (the official FIS form, electronic, for races carrying a FIS codex) and the Club entry form (your own form from the Entry form builder). The page also gives the snippet that shows the entry page inside your own website, and lets a FIS race take entries through the club form as well.
Steps
- Open Settings › Entries › Entry links.
Three links, each with Copy and Preview - Press Copy beside a link to copy it, or Preview to see what an entrant sees.
- Under Readable address, type the words you want after
/e/(lowercase letters, digits and hyphens) and press Save, or press the Use … suggestion. Until then the link uses the club's system name. - Under PUT ENTRIES ON YOUR WEBSITE, press Copy snippet and paste it where the entries should appear. For one race, point the snippet at that race's own door (
…/race/<race id>), or add/fisor/clubfor one form. - Under FIS RACES ON THE CLUB FORM, tick a FIS race to offer it on the club form as well. Each tick saves on its own.
- Under PUT IT ON THE FIS CALENDAR: in FIS Calendar Manager set Website to your FIS entry link and Entries Email to your entries address; Entries by email › opens that page.
What success looks like
A parent opens the club link on a phone, enters, confirms by email, and the athlete appears on Manage Competitors with the source Entry form.
If something goes wrong
- The page reads Entry links are being switched on: the public entry door is not on for the club yet; the links appear when it is.
- Save stays off: the readable address has a character outside lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.
