Step menus
With the top bar: how many screens drop down under each step, and which. With the stage rail, Side menu replaces this page.
What it's for
On the workspace with a top bar, hovering or tapping a step drops a short menu of its screens. This page sets, per step, how many screens drop down (0 to 3) and which ones. The choices are yours only; they are the step's own screens, so nothing here can point anywhere the step does not already go.
On the workspace with the stage rail there is no top bar and no step menu: the rail's side menu replaces it, and this page's place in Settings is taken by Side menu. An old link to Step menus lands there.
Steps
- Open Settings › Workspace › Step menus.
Screenshot
settings/step-menus-01.pngOne tile per step: how many, and which screens - On a step's tile, pick 0, 1, 2 or 3 screens. The tile's line reads No menu or N screens drop down.
- Pick which screen fills each slot from its list. Picking a screen already in another slot swaps the two.
- Each change saves on its own. Back to the defaults puts every step back to two screens.
What success looks like
Hovering a step in the top bar shows exactly the screens you picked; clicking the step itself still opens its first screen.
If something goes wrong
- TBC: on the dev club the stage rail is on, so Settings › Workspace lists Side menu and opening Step menus landed on it; the steps above come from the page's code and were not walked on screen.
