What it's for

Manage Competitors is the standard screen for a race's field. Every entry lands here, whatever way it came in, and the list follows the Active race picked in the bar at the top of the screen (one race = one gender on one day). The green tick on a row says the competitor is checked and in.

Before you start

  • At least one race in Event info.
  • The Active race set to the race you are working on (Change in the bar at the top).

Steps

  1. Open Entries. The screen opens on Manage Competitors, headed with the club, event, discipline, gender and codex of the Active race.
The field, one row per competitor, with the counters top right
    Manage Competitors
  2. Read the three counters top right: N racing (green-ticked), N CHECK (rows that need a look) and N withdrawn. Under them, a FIS race shows which FIS points list is loaded and warns when it is possibly outdated.
  3. Read a row left to right: BIB · CODE · RACING (two dots: green ✓ = racing, red ✕ = not racing; both pale = nobody has answered) · LAST NAME · FIRST NAME · GENDER · YEAR · NATION · COACH · SOURCE (Entry form, FIS list, Manual, Biography) · FIS STATUS (ACTIVE) · RACE STATUS (OK or CHECK) · ENTRY FORM · the points columns · PAID.
  4. Tick a competitor by pressing the green ✓ on their row; press the red ✕ to mark them not racing. ✓ Tick all at the top ticks everyone showing; it reads ☐ Untick all once everyone is ticked and puts them back to unanswered.
  5. To sort, click a column heading (▼, again ▲, again off; shift-click adds a second key). Drag a heading's edge to resize; double-click it to reset.
  6. To edit a competitor, click the row: a bar appears at the foot with ✎ Modify and 🗑 Delete (press it twice). Double-clicking the row opens the same Modify dialog.
  7. Use Columns & Filters to choose what the list shows (see Columns & Filters) and 🖥 Display ▾ for what the big screen, the public page and the phones show.
  8. Reset clears every green ✓ and red ✕ on the event, the coaches' answers included, and asks first.

The green tick

  • Green ✓ is the only state the draw, the run 1 start lists and the copy dialog count. Pale is not in.
  • A coach claiming an athlete in Race Relay does not tick them; the coach's Racing answer does.
  • A competitor you pull from the event (⤫ Pull from event in Modify) stays out even if a coach has answered Racing.

What success looks like

Every competitor you expect is on the list with a green tick, CHECK reads 0, and the counts at the top match your entry list.

If something goes wrong

  • A row says CHECK: open it with ✎ Modify and read the reason on hover, or clear the import flag with Clear CHECK flags. The list cannot be published while a CHECK row remains.
  • The import doors in the menu show a 🔒: the list is published and locked. Press 🔓 Unlock the list on the bar at the foot of the list (see Notify coaches and lock the list).
  • The row you want is on the other gender's race: use Change in the bar at the top to switch the Active race.
