Copy from another race
Bring a field into the race you are in from another race — this event's other day or another event of the club — with or without their bibs.
What it's for
Two-day events usually have the same field on both days. Copy it in rather than importing twice: the dialog always copies INTO the race you are in, FROM a race you pick, and only a race of the same gender is offered.
Before you start
- The Active race set to the race receiving the field.
- The source race's field checked, since by default only its green-ticked racers come across.
Steps
- Open Entries › Copy from another race. The Copy from another race dialog opens, headed INTO — THE RACE YOU ARE IN.
Into this race, from the event and race you pick - Under FROM WHICH EVENT pick the event — the one you are in, or another of the club's.
- Under FROM WHICH RACE choose the race. A race of the other gender is listed greyed with cannot go into this race.
- Choose who comes: the racing ones (green tick), Everyone, including the pulled ones, or pick them one by one.
- Choose Keep their bibs (a racer with a number on that race arrives with it) or no bibs.
- Press Copy N racers into this race.
What success looks like
The racers are on Manage Competitors for the race you are in, ticked as they were, with bibs if you kept them.
If something goes wrong
- The button reads Copy 0 racers: no race is chosen yet, or the source race has no green-ticked racer and you chose the racing ones only.
- Someone is missing: they were not green-ticked on the source race. Tick them there, or choose Everyone.
