Upload entry form
Read the FIS entry forms coaches sent you — PDF or Word, scanned or not — and add their athletes, grouped by form.
What it's for
The official FIS entry form, read for you. Drop one or many forms; each is parsed, its athletes matched against the FIS list by FIS code, and the form stays attached to its group of athletes as the office's proof. Scanned PDFs are read by OCR. Forms emailed to your club's entries address take the same road through the Inbox.
Before you start
- The forms as files (PDF or Word, up to 25 MB in one go).
- The FIS points list loaded, so codes can be matched.
- The list not locked for the day (the menu row shows a 🔒 while it is).
Steps
- Open Entries › Upload entry form. The Upload Entry Forms dialog opens.
Drop forms here, or choose files - Drop the forms on Drop entry forms here, or choose files, or click it to pick them.
- Press Read forms ▸. The athletes appear grouped by their form; matched ones are ticked, flagged ones show a check reason on hover.
- Untick anyone who should not go in, then press the import button.
- Read the result line — Added N athletes from N forms · N flagged NEEDS CHECK · N skipped (already entered / no name) — and press Done.
What success looks like
The athletes are on Manage Competitors with source Entry form, grouped by form when you filter by entry form, and the forms are on file for the event.
If something goes wrong
- A row is flagged CHECK: the code was not found on the loaded list or a detail on the form disagrees with it. Fix the row, or clear the flag with Clear CHECK flags once you have looked.
- Nothing was read from a scan: the OCR could not make it out. Ask for the form as a PDF export, not a photo.
- The menu row shows a 🔒: unlock the list on the bar at the foot of Manage Competitors.
TBC: the second screen (athletes grouped by form) was not walked with a real file; its words are taken from the app's own text.
