What it's for

Every list on the desk and every printed sheet opens the same panel, Columns & Filters. On Manage Competitors and the draw list it sets the screen; on Competitor List, the start lists and the results sheets it sets the sheet that prints. What you set is yours: each person keeps their own setup, and a race can keep a copy of its own.

Competitor fields decides which fields exist on the event and what they are called; this panel decides which of them you see.

Before you start

  • A list or sheet open (Manage Competitors, the draw, Competitor List, Start lists, Results).

Steps

  1. Press Columns & Filters above the list. The panel floats over the list; ✕ Hide closes it again.
Filter at the top, then one row per column
The Columns & Filters panel over Manage Competitors
  2. COLUMNS: tick ON to show a column, drag ⋮⋮ (or focus it and press ↑ ↓) to move it, set WIDTH (letters on a screen list, % on a printed sheet) and ALIGN (Left, Centre, Right). ✕ takes a column off; it stays under + Add column.
  3. On Manage Competitors and the draw list only, PIN freezes that column and everything to its left while the list scrolls sideways.
  4. FILTER: press Filter to open the Filters box. Show only hides rows that do not match (tick several and they stack). Group by turns the list into headed blocks; Sorted by orders the rows inside each group. Brackets splits a group into a first and second group. Press Apply; Clear all removes every filter. The line beside Filter says what is on (No filter — every competitor).
  5. On a printed sheet the panel also carries SHEET TITLE and, on a start list, SHEET OPTIONS such as Box the top group; the preview on the right redraws as you change things.
  6. Options ▾ keeps the setup: Save to section… (a named setup you keep in Settings, so every race on that section shows it), Save as my default, Set as default for this event, Apply to the other gender, Apply to every race this day, Copy from another event…, Save to file… / Load from file…, and Back to my default.
  7. The small line under the panel's heading says whose setup you are looking at: This race has its own setup. · Following your default for this event. · Following your default. · Following your section "…".

How the setups layer

  • Your default is the starting point for every race.
  • A section (Settings ▸ My list formats) is a named setup you pick per race; a race on a section you have not set up falls back to your default and says so.
  • The moment you change a column on a race, that race keeps its own copy. It is never closed: open the panel any time and change it.
  • Another person on the account keeps their own defaults; your changes do not move theirs.

What success looks like

The columns you need are on, in your order, the rows you want are the only ones showing, and the line under the heading names the setup you expect.

If something goes wrong

  • A column you need is not under + Add column: it is switched off in Competitor fields.
  • The sheet prints columns you did not pick: you are on a different race's copy or a section. Read the line under the heading, then Back to my default or set it again for this race.
  • On the draw list the filter changes nothing in the draw: by design. The note in the Filters box says it — the box only changes what you see, never the order, the bibs or the live draw.
