What it's for

The door for a club race or a series with its own spreadsheet. Open the sheet (or paste rows from one), tell Race Bureau which column is which, and the athletes are entered on the picked race day.

Before you start

  • The sheet as .xlsx or .csv, or its rows on the clipboard.
  • The fields you want to fill switched on in Competitor fields; only active fields are offered for matching.
  • The Active race on the day the athletes run.

Steps

  1. Open Entries › Import from file. The Import from a file dialog opens; it names the day it enters athletes on.
Choose a file or paste rows, then match the columns
The Import from a file dialog
  2. Press 📂 Choose file… and pick the sheet, or press 📋 Paste rows, paste, and press Load pasted rows ▸.
  3. Match each column of your sheet to a competitor field. A column you leave unmatched is skipped.
  4. Press Import N competitors ▸. If the button reads N need a gender ▸, give those rows a gender first.
  5. Press Done.

What success looks like

The athletes are on Manage Competitors for that day with the values from your sheet, and the counters match the rows you imported.

If something goes wrong

  • The same athlete lands twice: the sheet had them twice. Delete one row (click it, 🗑 Delete).
  • Names came in the wrong way round: the Last name and First name columns were matched the wrong way. Delete the rows and import again.

TBC: the column-matching screen was not walked with a real file; its words are taken from the app's own text.
