What it's for

Phone live is the Live tab inside Race Relay. Coaches, parents and racers on the hill see one card per competitor — rank, name and time on the first line, the rest on the second — updating as the race runs. It is a surface of its own: its columns, its filter and its switch are set on the Timing Desk, separately from the Live display.

Before you start

  • The event activated on Race day, so the event's Race Relay groups exist.
  • The Phone live tile set to Live.

Steps

  1. On the Timing Desk, press Columns & filters on the Phone live tile. Choose which items go on the card and what each is called.
  2. To check it on a phone before the race, set the tile to Test and open Test link ↗ on a phone. The app shows nothing live while the tile is in Test; the test page shows the same card the app draws.
  3. Set the tile to Live and switch Live timing on.

What success looks like

A coach opening Live in Race Relay sees the cards for the active race, and a card updates within seconds of the finish impulse.

If something goes wrong

  • The Live tab in the app is empty: the tile is Off or in Test, or Live timing is off.
  • Forerunner times are missing or unwanted: the Forerunners tick on the Live control card sets every surface at once.
