Assign special seeds
ANC Cup races only: check the field for special seeds (200 Cup points) and give them their bibs; everyone else is drawn on the draw screen.
What it's for
On an ANC Cup race a competitor with 200 or more Cup points who has no right to start in the first 15 is enrolled as number 16 (COC 3.2.1). This dialog works that out from the loaded Cup standings, shows you the field, and gives only the special seeds their bibs. Everybody else is drawn on the draw screen. If there is no special seed, the yellow leader bib is simply highlighted.
The row shows on ANC races only; on a FIS race it is not in the menu.
Before you start
- An ANC Cup event with the Cup standings loaded (ANC points list).
- The Active race set to the race day.
Steps
- Open Bibs & start lists › Assign special seeds. The dialog is headed ⚑ Assign special seeds — DAY · discipline.
Check the field, then assign to the list - Press ▸ The rules we use to read the articles verbatim.
- Press ① Check the field. The dialog shows, per gender, the field size, the Cup-points holders and who takes a special seat.
- If a bib was typed by hand, tick or untick Keep manual bib override — untick to let the rules decide.
- Press ② Assign to the list. Only the special seeds' bibs are written.
- Press Close and continue on the draw screen.
What success looks like
The special seeds carry their number on the draw screen and the leader bib is highlighted; the rest of the field still waits for 🎲 Draw.
If something goes wrong
- The dialog says This is a FIS race: the event is not an ANC Cup event. The draw screen's ANC rule is not for it.
- The press is refused and names the race: the bibs are locked (Lock bibs).
TBC: not walked on screen — the demo club has no ANC race; the steps are taken from the dialog's own text in the app.
