When external timing software times the race: write the race day's .spro race files, with the club's logos, into your race-files folder.

What it's for

Only for a club whose timing system is external timing software: the row is hidden when Race Bureau times the race. It writes the race day straight into your race-files folder (picked once, remembered): one folder per day with a .spro per race, plus the club's logos in Logos/, which the .spro already points at. No bibs go in the file — the FIS bibs and draw happen in the external draw software.

Before you start

  • External timing software set as the timing system and your .spro templates uploaded under Settings › Timing Software (Timing and connector). The dialog says No templates yet until you do.
  • The field green-ticked on Manage Competitors.

Steps

  1. Open Bibs & start lists › Export to Timing under Export. The ⬇ Export to Timing dialog opens.

  2. Pick the Race-file template (.spro) this race needs.
  3. Under Also export from this race day tick the other race (the other gender) to write it in the same run.
  4. Choose What to export — ♂ Men, ♀ Women, ♂+♀ Men + Women (one file each) or ⚭ Combined · 1 file.
  5. Choose Who goes in the file — 👥 Everyone racing or ✓ Green-ticked only (remembered).
  6. Check File naming ({Gender} and {Codex} fill in per file) and, under Competitor fields in this file, press Columns & Filters to set the export's own fields — the external draw software's own columns by default.
  7. Read the summary line (Day 1 · Men · 38 in the file · codex 0991 · Men-0991.spro) and press ⬇ Export 1 race file.

What success looks like

The .spro files are in your race-files folder under the day's folder, the external draw software opens them with the field and the logos, and the summary line counted the competitors you expected.

If something goes wrong

  • ⬇ Export is greyed with Choose a template first: upload a .spro template under Settings › Timing Software.
  • The row is not in the menu: Race Bureau is the timing system for this club; there is nothing to export.
  • Someone is missing from the file: ✓ Green-ticked only is on and they are not ticked.
