Live draw wall
Show one race's draw live — on the club's phones, the public page and the big screen — as you number it, one reveal at a time.
What it's for
A team captains' meeting draw the room can watch. With the live draw on, the club's phones in Race Relay, the public page and the big screen show this race's field filling in as you type the top-seed numbers, each reveal held for the seconds you set. It writes nothing and changes no bib; it only shows.
Two races can be live at once; a third is refused and the screen names the two holding the air.
Before you start
- The field drawn, or at least the first group known, on the draw screen.
- The big screen opened on the room's display if you use one (🖥 Display ▾ › ⛶ Open big screen).
Steps
- Open Bibs & start lists on the race. Set ⏱ Display Time (seconds each reveal holds).
Live draw OFF (red) · ON (green), with the display time beside it - Press 📡 Live draw OFF. It turns green and reads 📡 Live draw ON for this race only; the other gender is switched on from its own screen.
- Open 🖥 Display ▾ and check the switches: 🖥 Big screen (send this race to the big screen), 🌐 alpinetiming (list it on the public page), Showing = 🎲 Live draw, Big screen size (🏔 Room or 💻 Remote), Sponsor, 📅 Live draw at (the time announced), and ⚙ Live fields ▾ (which fields the live draw shows: Pos, Bib, Last Name, First Name, Nation, points).
- Type the top-seed numbers into the BIB boxes, or press 🎫 Assign Bibs. Each number appears on the wall after the hold.
- When the draw is done press 📡 Live draw ON to stop showing it. The start list goes up by itself when MANUAL UPLOAD on the Start lists sheet is switched to automatic.
What success looks like
The phones and the public page show the field filling in, in the order you number it, and the switch reads 📡 Live draw ON for this race alone.
If something goes wrong
- The switch is greyed and a line beside it names two races: two live draws are already running. Switch one off from its own screen.
- The wall shows the competitor list, not the draw: Showing under 🖥 Display ▾ is on 📋 Competitor list.
- Nothing shows on the phones: the race day is not published to the coaches (Notify coaches and lock the list).
TBC: the switch was not turned on during the walk (it changes what the public sees); the phone and public page look are not verified here.
