Import a run
Bring a run's times from another event of your club into this race, bib by bib.
What it's for
Import a run copies the times of one run from another event of your club into the active race, matched by bib. Use it when a race was timed on another event (a copy, a test, a re-run on a new event) and the times belong here.
Before you start
- The ACTIVE RACE picked in the header, with its field drawn: a time lands only on a bib that exists in this race.
- The source event has timing data. If none of your club's events does, the dialog says so.
Steps
- Open Timing Desk › Import a run in the rail.
Choose the event, then the run - Under Choose the event. pick the event the times come from.
- Under Choose the run. pick the run.
- Press OK. The dialog reports what was imported and lists any bib it skipped with Bib, Source, This race and Reason.
- Press Done. Back returns to the choice without importing.
What success looks like
The run's times are on the desk against the right bibs, and Data Management's counters match the source.
If something goes wrong
- No event of your club has timing data to import.: the times are not in Race Bureau. Time the run, or ask the timer who holds the device.
- A bib is listed as skipped: the bib is not in this race, or the row already holds a time. Fix the entry and import again, or type the time in Modify data.
