What it's for

Public · Spectators is the club's open room. Anyone with the club's public QR code or link can follow it; the organiser posts the updates. Spectators see this room and the Live tab, nothing else.

Public · Spectators: read-only broadcast
The public chat

Steps

  1. On Chats, open the club's card and tap Public · Spectators.
  2. Read the organiser's posts (marked 📣). A spectator's app shows two tabs, Spectators and Live.
  3. A club admin types in Post to the public chat… and sends; the header reads Public chat · you post as the organiser.

What success looks like

The organiser's post is on every spectator's phone, and the race bar above it names the club's next race.

If something goes wrong

  • Nothing shared yet — the organiser has not posted. Live timing still works on the Live tab.
  • TBC: whether the club can switch spectator comments on or off from the phone (the switch exists on the desktop; the phone shows the room read-only unless you are the organiser).
