Coaches, from the invite to race day
Invite by QR or email, the coach's sign-in on the phone, claiming athletes and answering Racing, the pay sheet, the Coaches chat, and a DQ list with a protest.
What it's for
A coach never opens the workspace. They join the club once in Race Relay, see every event the club approves them for, claim their racers on the published list, answer who is racing, pay for the days they confirmed and read the documents. The organiser sees all of it from the desk. This page is the coach's road, with the organiser's screen beside each step.
The chain
- Invite the coach — Crew › Invite coach: search an existing coach, or type Coach name and Email and Send invite; or let them scan the QR code (Copy sign-up link gives the same link). → Invite coach
- The coach joins on the phone — name, email and nation on the join page, confirm by email; they land in the club's Coaches group with this race open. → Join Race Relay
- Coach sign-in — 👤 › Your profile › Coach, Email me a sign-in link; a coach who already runs races under that email confirms Yes — I coach too. One coach can sit on several clubs. → Coach
- The organiser sees the coach — Crew › Coaches lists every coach on the event with their claimed ATHLETES; Event access & chat decides which events an approved coach may see. → Coaches · Event access & chat
- The day is published — Publish list to coaches, 📣 Notify coaches, then 🔒 Lock the list; the coaches are pinged in the Coaches chat (and emailed the first time). → Notify coaches and lock the list
- The coach claims and answers — 🎿 Check your athletes: ＋ Claim each racer, then Racing or Not racing, per race. Racing puts the green tick on the organiser's row; Not racing takes it off; a claim alone is not a tick. ＋ Add a missing athlete lands on the desk with a CHECK. → Claim athletes

- The Coaches chat and the documents — released start lists and results post into the groups as cards and onto Docs; Program follows the run sheet; Live follows the race bar. → Chat · Program
- A DQ list and a protest — a DQ list goes to the ROC/Jury and Coaches groups only; when it was posted with ⏱ 15-min protest window the coach can Lodge protest with a reason while the countdown runs; an admin resolves it. → Docs and protests

What success looks like
Before the draw every row on Manage Competitors is green or crossed, Un-claimed athletes is empty, the ATHLETES counts on Coaches add up to the field, and Owing on Coach accounts is zero before the first start.
If something goes wrong
- The coach landed in the app but sees no race: they joined another club's link, or the day is not published. Send your link; publish and lock the day.
- A coach says they answered but the row is pale: they claimed without pressing Racing; check Coach view.
- pulled by TIMER on the coach's phone: an official crossed the racer out; the timer's cross outranks the coach's answer.
- A coach cannot see one event: it is unticked for them under Event access & chat › COACHES YOU APPROVED.
