Invite and the TD door

How a TD gets access: FIS assigns on a FIS race or the organiser invites by email, a 7-day link, then the FIS Technical Delegate door on the doors screen.

What it's for

A TD reaches an event one of two ways. On a FIS race, FIS assigns the TD off the FIS calendar and Race Bureau matches the TD number. Otherwise, or as a fallback on a FIS event, the organiser invites the TD by email from the event. Either way the TD lands on the same list on Events.

Access is per event. The TD reads and writes the live event they were invited to, reads the archived events of the clubs that invited them, and sees no other live event of the club. An invitation that has not been accepted gives no access at all.

Steps

  1. The organiser opens the event and chooses Invite TD (Set up › Organisation, see Invite a TD), types the TD name and Email, and presses Send invite.

  2. The TD gets an email with a link. The link can be used once and expires in 7 days.
  3. A TD new to Race Bureau opens the link, sets a name and a password, and is signed in. A TD who already has an account signs in as themselves and presses Accept on the invitation page (or Decline); the page says how long it is open.
  4. From then on, signing in shows the doors screen, Where are you working today?, with the FIS Technical Delegate door beside any other door the account holds. One door only: the account goes straight in.

  5. On the organiser's side the invite reads ⧗ Pending until the TD accepts, then ✓ Confirmed, and the TD is listed under Team & access › Invited to events.

What success looks like

The event is under My assigned events with ROC invite (or FIS feed) in the How you're assigned column, and the race screens read ✎ You can edit.

If something goes wrong

  • This invite link is invalid or has expired: ask the organiser to press Send invite again; a new 7-day link is sent.
  • The event is missing from the TD's list: the invitation is still pending, or it was sent to a different email address.
